Als er één Belg de laatste jaren on fire is, dan is dat Jonathan Vlerick wel. Onlangs zagen we hem nog shinen tijdens België VS Nederland in Ladybird Skatepark, maar hij zit niet stil. De Belgische fotograaf Joselito Verschaeve stuurde ons deze dikke kickflip tijdens een street sessie in Leuven.

Niemand minder dan opperstuntman van Burnside, Rob Maatman is afgelopen weekend al weer 26 jaar oud geworden. Aangezien Rob tijdens de Olympics al 30 jaar zal zijn worden de nieuwe stuntmannen van Burnside ondertussen klaargestoomd. Één van deze personen is Luca Hendriks. Zo te zien heeft hij de afgelopen jaren goed kunnen meekijken bij de rest van het stuntteam, want deze Overcrooked in Grave ging hem vrij gemakkelijk af..

For those of you who follow us on Instagram you might have seen that for the new ‘One Day Away’ we went to Nice, France with none other than Florian Dalhuijsen. Even though Nice has quite a few skatestoppers, Florian managed to skate a whole lot of spots. For the complete video montage you wil have to wait a few days, but for now you can get a glimpse of the kickflip that he did at a spot near the airport.

More and more we see dutch skateboarding crews including ourself take their skateboard trips across the boarder to Germany. To skate the large variety of skatespots that Germany has to offer. The Vans Benelux team also made a week long trip to Dusseldorf and Keulen to shoot some footage. Luckily its only about a one hour drive from Holland so they had plenty of time to get the most out of their week. Thanks to the German photographer Wille Nothers that took the team to every spot that they wanted to go and more. Want to know how their trip went, go take a look at this fine video that Jan Maarten Sneep made.

Last year we were a few days in Zaragoza, Spain with the Bomboklats crew. With a big crew we shredded the city spot by spot. Why Zaragoza? The spots… It’s always about the spots! But we didn’t complain about the wheather either. Anyway… Tim Zom pulls together a nice crooked grind on the ‘Puente del Almozara’ bridge.

Rob Maatman is on fire lately! A couple of weeks ago he got Burnside placed for the European Vans finals of the Vans Shop Riot together with Jelle and Bert. Last weekend he won the MVP-award at the Skate Night at Burnside Skatepark. With that award comes a VIP ticket for the Dew Tour in Ocean City.
